Expecting

Congratulations!
Having a baby is one of the most exciting times in your life. Nothing is more rewarding than the privilege of caring for this new life and providing an environment in which both you and your child will thrive and develop. Choosing the pediatrician that can best care for your child is an important decision. At Child and Adolescent Healthcare, we share your joy and enthusiasm and look forward to the opportunity in partnering with you on the exciting journey of raising a child.

Getting Acquainted
Please feel free to call our office if you have additional questions about us. If you are interested in becoming a patient at CAHC, please call today to schedule a prenatal/pre-adoption/new patient, "get acquainted" meeting. We will take the opportunity to talk with you about our practice as well as answer any questions that you have about your new baby.

Upon Arrival
When your baby is born at Yale, simply tell your obstetrician and the hospital staff that you have chosen a Child and Adolescent Healthcare physician as your child's pediatrician. Our office will be notified of your baby's birth by the hospital staff. One of our physicians is available to see your baby every day that they are in the hospital until they are discharged. Prior to your baby going home, we will talk with you about scheduling your baby's first visit to our office.

If your baby is born at another hospital, the local pediatrician can call our office to update us on your baby's arrival and we will be happy to assume care of your baby once he or she has been discharged from their care. We will generally have you bring your baby into our office within a few days of discharge to met him or her in person.
